![]() She barely has any character development at all until later chapters when she redeemed herself to join Aya and the magical girls (in WSIU# 5).Similar to Kyler from Cobra Kai, she constantly acts like the victim and spreads lies so that said victims would be unable to expose the bullies. After recovering from the hospital and receiving a yo-yo magic stick from Nana, she doesn’t receive any repercussions for her actions when she went back to school with Ai, which means that she and Sarina would proceed to continue ruining Aya’s life forever until her redemption at least. Her personality just consists of being lazy, sadistic, cruel, and a liar to most other antagonist behaviors. No wonder later chapters would have her redeemed and join Aya and the magical girls. Her delinquency and juvenile behavior make her one of the worst examples of the “mean girl” stereotype and a “bullying” trope as well. The manga and anime never bothers to give her and her friends backstories of why they became bullies and is quickly forgotten or addressed, instead in the final chapter of the manga, Aya, who went back in time to prevent anyone from ever discovering the Magical Girl Site for some reason “rewrote” their memories “with good ones” which is rather extremely forced in order for Aya to create a peaceful happy world without the existence of the Magical Girl Site. She uses her friends Erika Kajima, Ai Kawano, and an older muscular upperclassman, Shota Arai to bully Aya and hope that she is better off tortured, dead and beaten in no clear reason while having no punishment at all.Speaking of the first chapter and anime episode, she has a cliche terrible introduction where Sarina and her friends laugh at Aya in front of the locker room (while the anime just has her talking to her friends about her schemes and forcing Aya to open her vandalized locker). She is way too juvenile as well (see below). She is an unexpected villain who first appeared at the beginning of the series and is shown to be a mean-spirited bully who goes way too far from what she did to Aya. ![]() To get the cat out of the box, she is just another generic clichéd ”pretty rude mean girl” who verbally bullies her classmate, Aya for being “ungrateful” when she first met at school to the point that she and her classmate’s brother, Kaname (who also torments Aya, too) are the sole reason why Aya became a magical girl when she discovers the Magical Girl Site because of them.
